Iva Novosel is a graduate journalist who spent much of her career in marketing and public relations, shaping stories, content, and communication strategies. She is the author of four children’s books and numerous articles, with a particular passion for writing about gastronomy and travel. For many years, she has also worked as a licensed tourist guide specialising in wine and culinary tours, blending culture, storytelling, and food experiences.
In her forties, Iva made a decisive career shift and fully dedicated herself to her lifelong passion for cooking. Her participation in MasterChef Croatia 2024 marked an important turning point, after which she passed the professional exam at the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts and continued gaining experience through private dining, guest appearances, and work in respected Zagreb restaurants.
Her cuisine focuses on reinterpreting traditional Croatian dishes with a creative twist, while drawing inspiration from diverse international influences. For Iva, cooking is an extension of storytelling, a way to bring people together around the table and create meaningful, memorable moments.
