Alen Ursanić is a chef with a clear focus on fine dining and a career built on determination, early responsibility, and continuous refinement of his craft. He completed hospitality school in the Kvarner region and very quickly found his place in professional kitchens. Already as a teenager he worked on Lošinj, where he progressed from a junior position to head chef at just 19 years old.
Returning to Rijeka, Alen took on the role of head chef at Boonker, where he led the kitchen and further shaped his style around fresh coastal ingredients and precise execution. He later continued as head chef in a restaurant in Veli Lošinj, produbljujući vezu s jadranskim okusima i lokalnim namirnicama.
Wanting to elevate his technique and move fully into gourmet cuisine, Alen joined the team at Villa Ariston in Opatija - one of the region’s most respected fine-dining destinations - to perfect his approach to tasting menus, modern plating, and high-end service.
Today, Alen is a chef strongly oriented towards fine dining, with the skills and discipline to support it: his cooking is defined by clean flavours, careful structure on the plate, and a constant drive to push himself and his guests’ experience one step further.
