Goran Kočiš is one of Croatia’s most distinguished chefs, with over 25 years of experience in international gastronomy. Throughout his career, he has worked in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, and Croatia, shaping a culinary style that combines Central European precision with Mediterranean sensibility and a contemporary approach to fine dining.
He is best known as the chef behind Restaurant Noel in Zagreb, which earned the first Michelin star in continental Croatia in 2019, a milestone moment for the country’s gastronomic scene. His work has also been recognised in the prestigious Gault & Millau guide, both with Noel and later with Restaurant Nico’s.
Beyond the restaurant world, Goran Kočiš has served as a MasterChef Croatia jury member since 2024, contributing his expertise and authority to the development of new culinary talent.
His cooking is defined by technical precision, clarity of flavour, and deep respect for ingredients. Each dish reflects balance, structure, and attention to detail — reinforcing his position as one of the leading figures in modern Croatian gastronomy.
