Vehid Saldić is a chef with extensive experience built through years of work in hotels, restaurants, and the private dining sector along the Croatian coast. He began his culinary journey as a commis chef in Pula and, through dedication and continuous development, progressed to the roles of sous chef, head chef, and corporate chef, leading large teams and overseeing multiple kitchens simultaneously.
He became widely recognised through his success in culinary competitions, including the title of Junior Champion at Biser Mora, one of the most respected culinary competitions in this part of Europe. He gained further public recognition as the runner-up of the first season of Hell’s Kitchen Croatia, where he stood out for his expertise, professionalism, and positive attitude. Throughout his career, he has earned more than 60 national and international awards and honours and actively contributes to the profession as President of the Association of Chefs and Pastry Chefs of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.
Today, Vehid works as a private chef, consultant, and owner of Bistro Amber in Rijeka, where he combines experience, creativity, and passion for gastronomy. His cooking is defined by technical precision, a contemporary approach, and a strong commitment to quality ingredients and guest satisfaction.
